We’re all familiar with this moment: you discover an unbeatably low gas price, start the engine and set off. But when you arrive at the gas station, you’re disappointed: the price has just changed - upwards, of course.

To minimize these annoying surprises, we have upgraded our app with a new, crucial data point.

New on board: the average number of price changes per day Link to heading

From now on, you will find a new figure directly in the detailed view of your favorite petrol station, as shown in the picture: “About X price changes per day”.

What does this number tell you?

This small but powerful piece of information gives you crucial insights into the pricing strategy of a petrol station and helps you to better assess the stability of an offer:

  • A high number (e.g. 30-50 changes per day): This gas station acts very dynamically. It adjusts its prices extremely frequently and quickly to the market situation. If you see a good price here, you need to hurry. There is a high probability that the price will only be valid for a short period of time.
  • A low number (e.g. 5-10 changes per day): This gas station tends to be more consistent. The prices are much more stable. A good price that you see here is more likely to still be valid when you arrive. This gives you more planning security.

With this new information, you can now make a more informed decision whether it’s really worth going to a gas station a little further away. You no longer have to fly off blindly, but can factor price dynamics into your decision.

We believe that transparency is the best fuel for smart decisions.

Update your app now, discover the new function and navigate through the price jungle with even more precision!
